Wellness specialist Cheryl Hicks is hoping agents can fill two remaining spaces at a summer retreat fronted by Olympic medallists including Paula Radcliffe, Rebecca Adlington and Colin Jackson.
Cheryl, who is founder and CEO of Wellness Worldwide Club, which offers wellness retreats with Olympic athletes, has taken over the 22-room The Brecon hotel in Adelboden in Switzerland for the four-day retreat, starting on 14 June.
She is offering agents 15% commission on booking the two last rooms, which each cost £5,750 per person, based on two people sharing. The rooms can also be booked by a solo traveller, with a reduced single occupancy rate available. Prices exclude flights and transfers but price includes all drinks, food and activities with Olympians.
The retreat will include guided hikes with Colin Jackson and Jamie Baulch, swimming sessions with Rebecca Adlington, e-bike rides with Dame Sarah Storey, and wellness and breathwork sessions in the Alps.
Olympic diver Leon Taylor will also be taking part in the Wellness Worldwide retreat. Guests will also take part in Q&As and informal storytelling sessions with the athletes.
Cheryl said luxury travellers are increasingly seeking active, experience-led holidays rather than traditional ‘fly-and-flop’ breaks.
“People don’t just want to lie by the pool anymore – they want experiences, movement and connection,” she said.
“The whole experience is designed to help people feel healthier, fitter and more energised while still enjoying luxury travel.”
The all-inclusive retreat includes meals, wine, spa facilities, a panoramic heated outdoor pool and wellness experiences set against the backdrop of the Swiss Alps.
“What makes this retreat special is that it’s small and personal – there are only 22 bedrooms in the hotel, so guests get real interaction with the athletes,” said Cheryl.
“The retreat brings together world champions and Olympic medallists in a genuinely intimate luxury setting.”
Cheryl, who also represents sports stars, TV personalities and Olympians for PR campaigns and events, said she is keen to work more closely with the travel trade on future wellness experiences.
“Luxury travellers increasingly want meaningful experiences alongside beautiful hotels and great food,” she said. “Agents have clients looking for unique experiences and this is something genuinely different.”
Agents who would like to find out more about the retreat and to make a booking should email Cheryl at cherylkhicks@me.com
