Virgin Limited Edition reveals details of new-look Ulusaba

Virgin Limited Edition has revealed details of its South African safari reserve Ulusaba, which will reopen in April 2027.

The reserve, which is part of Virgin Hotels Collection, closed its Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge in January this year so reconstruction work could take place.

Located in Sabi Sand, the two lodges will feature a total of 20 bedrooms when the reopen. Rock Lodge (pictured) will have nine rooms in total, including five new Rock Suites and two new interconnecting Makwela Suites.

Safari Lodge, for guests aged 12 and over, will comprise 11 suites, including The Hide, which features three suites and a shared living area complete with a deck and firepit, which can be booked exclusively for groups.

The property is also adding brand-new wellness facilities and treatments, in partnership with South African spa brand Africology.

Both lodges will offer multiple treatment rooms alongside cold plunge pools, Himalayan salt saunas, hydrotherapy pools, rasul mud experiences, a reflexology walkway and a yoga deck with wilderness views. A pickleball court will also be added to the two existing tennis courts.

Bookings are now open for Ulusaba.
