Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has announced a further expansion of its ultra-luxury fleet, adding three more new-build ships for 2028.
The Helen and Clara will sail in Europe, while the Mekong Mystique will be deployed on the Mekong in Asia.
Clara (pictured above), which will join Uniworld’s Rhine fleet, has been named after 17th-century Flemish painter Clara Peeters.
The line said that, inspired by her ‘richly detailed’ still-life paintings, the ship’s interiors will feature ‘vibrant florals, elegant textures and refined European craftsmanship’.

Clara will debut on the eight-day ‘Holland & Belgium at Tulip Time’ itinerary, departing on 31 March 2028.
Named after the legendary Helen of Troy, Uniworld said Helen ‘draws inspiration from European classical antiquity and the enduring influence of Greek culture throughout the Danube region’.
“Rather than recreating a traditional Greek aesthetic, the ship embraces the philosophy of Mediterranean elegance, resulting in a serene atmosphere inspired by nature, timeless architecture and the Greek concept of philoxenia, or warm hospitality,” it added.
Helen will sail on the Danube, including the 15-day Danube Grandeur cruise, departing on 28 October 2028.
Uniworld said Mekong Mystique has been inspired by ‘classic Indochine design’, and ‘combines refined European architectural details with natural materials to create interiors that reflect the rich heritage and stunning landscapes of Vietnam and Cambodia’.
It will exclusively sail on Uniworld’s immersive, 15-day ‘Timeless Wonders of Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong’ itinerary, with departures from 6 January 2028.
