JW Marriott chooses Costa Rica for its first all-inclusive resort

The first all-inclusive resort under the JW Marriott brand will open later this year, in Costa Rica.

The luxury beachfront JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort All-Inclusive is scheduled to open in late 2026 in the Guanacaste region, on Costa Rica’s northwestern Pacific coast.

The resort will offer a ‘refined interpretation of the all-inclusive model’ through elevated culinary experiences, wellness programmes, immersive nature experiences, and intuitive service, according to representation company Cara Global Sales & Marketing, which will be the resort’s agent in the UK and Ireland.

It added the resort is close to ‘pristine beaches, protected natural landscapes, and nearby national parks’, and will ‘offer travellers access to one of Costa Rica’s most secluded and naturally rich regions’.

The resort will have ‘a collection of dining venues, wellness and spa experiences, multiple pools, and curated activities designed to foster relaxation, connection, and a deeper sense of place’.

It will also feature the Griffin Club, an exclusive ‘hotel-within-a-hotel’ experience offering elevated accommodation, including suites; enhanced amenities; dedicated lounges and ‘curated culinary moments’ for a more personalised and private all-inclusive stay.

Cara Global Joint Managing Director Paul Bodart said: “Offering a luxury interpretation of the all-inclusive model, the resort aligns beautifully with the brand’s emphasis on wellness, thoughtful design, and exceptional service.”

Their efforts will include developing new trade partnerships, identifying sales and promotional opportunities, supporting marketing initiatives, increasing product awareness, and providing ongoing trade engagement across the region.
