Bermuda’s Fairmont Southampton will open its exclusive Palmetto Beach Club this week ahead of a full reopening of the iconic resort later this year.
Located on the South Shore, Palmetto Beach Club opens on 13 August, six years after Fairmont Southampton closed for what has been described as Bermuda’s biggest-ever hotel renovation.
Designed by Paris Society Consulting, which is behind some of the world’s most celebrated restaurants, bars and beach clubs, Palmetto will feature an all-day restaurant, private cabanas and beach service, alongside wellness programming and live entertainment.
The opening forms part of a more than $550 million investment in the resort, delivered through a partnership between Gencom, Accor and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts alongside the Government of Bermuda.
On reopening, Fairmont Southampton will have 593 redesigned rooms and suites, new dining venues, a refreshed event space and the Turtle Hill Golf Club.
