Gulf Air will launch direct flights between Bahrain and Kuala Lumpur next month, ahead of this year’s Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix, for which Gulf Air is the title sponsor, will be hosted at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
The new service will launch on 29 September, days before the Grand Prix takes place from 2-4 October.
Gulf Air said it will operate an enhanced schedule to Kuala Lumpur in the run-up to the race weekend, providing additional capacity for fans travelling to the event.
The national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain said the service will continue after the Grand Prix as a permanent addition to its network.
Gulf Air Holidays will also offer packages for the race weekend, combining flights, accommodation, airport transfers and race experiences.
