Equinox Resort AMAALA opens on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast

Equinox Resort AMAALA has opened in Saudi Arabia’s Triple Bay, following the first phase of the ultra-luxury tourism project opening at the destination in July.

The new resort, owned by Red Sea Global, has 128 rooms and suites across six categories, including two penthouses, as well as 21 branded residences.

The opening marks the first hotel outside the US for Equinox, the luxury American fitness and lifestyle company.

The resort features 704sqm of indoor and outdoor training space, making it the largest fitness facility in AMAALA, alongside a 1,602sqm spa.

The spa features a specialist ‘regeneration experience’ including cryotherapy, infrared sauna, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, hydrotherapy and contrast temperature treatments.

Guests also have access to four outdoor pools, including a lap pool and rooftop magnesium salt pool overlooking Triple Bay.

Dining venues include Mint + Co, Soho Souk, Sama Ai and EQX Den, with a focus on health-led cuisine.

The resort’s rooms feature circadian lighting, acoustic insulation and precision climate control designed to support sleep and recovery.

AMAALA is planned to have more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts throughout the tourism megaproject.
