DTH Travel launches off-peak Asia collection

DTH Travel has launched a new off-peak Asia collection, designed to help travel agents sell low-season travel across the region.

The trade-only operator has created a range of ready-to-book itineraries covering travel between April and October, focusing on seasonal experiences.

The programme highlights destinations including Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, with a focus on fewer crowds, lower prices and experiences that are unique to the season.

In Vietnam and Laos, itineraries centre on the ‘green season’, with high water levels, lush landscapes and waterfalls at their peak.

Thailand features wellness retreats, cultural festivals and improved availability across golf courses, while Malaysia offers favourable summer conditions and rainforest experiences in Borneo.

The Philippines programme includes visits to Kaparkan Falls during peak flow between July and October, alongside festivals such as MassKara and Lanzones.

DTH Travel said the collection aims to help agents shift the sales conversation away from weather and towards value and experience, as demand grows for more meaningful and better-value holidays.

Director of Sales David Carlaw said: “Low season isn’t about settling for less, it’s about experiencing Asia differently.

“Your clients can swap queues for quieter moments, discover landscapes at their most vibrant and often find themselves connecting more with local people because destinations are less crowded. It’s the kind of travel many people don’t realise they’re looking for until they experience it.

“The weather is often the first question customers ask, but we’d encourage you to change the conversation.

“Instead, tell them what experiences are only possible at that time of year and highlight the significant cost savings. That’s where low season really comes into its own.

“Many of Asia’s most spectacular landscapes, cultural celebrations and wildlife encounters happen precisely because of the season.”
