Domes has announced a €40 million expansion of one of its resorts in Crete after entering into a joint venture with global asset management firm Brookfield.
Domes Zeen Chania, a 105-room beachfront resort, which is part of the Marriott Luxury Collection, is Brookfield’s first investment in the Greek hospitality market.
Managing Partner and Co-President of Brookfield’s Real Estate Group said: “We look forward to working with the Domes team and exploring additional investment opportunities in the future.”
Brookfield has significant experience in the hospitality sector, having previously invested in Center Parcs, edyn, Selenta Group, Experimental Group and Generator Hostels.
Domes Resorts CEO Dr George Spanos said: “We’re pleased to enter a joint venture with one of the world’s leading global real estate investors.
“With Domes now a stabilised platform supported by a strong brand, we look forward to working with Brookfield to embark on our next phase.” Domes said the investment will be used to ‘enhance and grow’ the resort.
