Domes Resorts has taken over the management of the five-star Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos in the Algarve, which is its second property in Portugal and its third outside Greece.
The resort is owned by Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), one of the biggest owners of resort hotels in southern Europe.
Located on the cliffs of Ponta da Piedade, the resort is positioned as a lifestyle and sports destination. It is close to Lagos, in a region known for its heritage, year-round mild climate and renowned beaches.
Set across 38 hectares, the 164-room hotel offers a range of facilities, including multiple pools, a spa, fitness centre, tennis courts, kids’ club, football academy and FIFA-standard football pitches.
There are four restaurants that combine international cuisine with local Algarve flavours.
Domes’ other property in Portugal is the Domes Lake Algarve – Autograph Collection, which is located in Vilamoura,
Domes said the addition of the Cascade Wellness Resort reflects its strategy of expanding in key Mediterranean destinations through partnerships with leading institutional investors.
CEO Dr George Spanos said: “We welcome the expansion of our presence in Portugal through this partnership, further strengthening our collaboration with HIP, the leading hotel owner in the Mediterranean.
“The Algarve is a well-established, extended-season destination with strong fundamentals, making it a natural fit for our expansion strategy.
“Cascade Wellness Resort is a well-positioned asset in a prime location, supporting the continued diversification of our portfolio across key Mediterranean destinations.”
