Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) confirmed the return of its Expedition Showcase in July and a Luxury Cruise Summit in September for travel agents.
These were among a host of events for agents confirmed at the CLIA conference in Southampton on Thursday (4 June).
The expedition showcase will be held in Longyearbyen, in the Svalbard archipelago, one of the main starting points for Arctic expedition departures, from 24-27 July 2026.
The showcase will include ship visits to AE Expeditions’ Greg Mortimer, HX Expeditions’ HX Spitsbergen, Silversea’s Silver Endeavour, Swan Hellenic’s SH Vega and Ponant’s Le Commandant Charcot.
Alongside a full day of business sessions, there will be a coastal wildlife boat trip, sightseeing tour, dining at local restaurants and a visit to the world’s northernmost brewery. Delegates will be accompanied throughout by the expedition suppliers.
The Luxury Cruise Summit will be held on 4 September in Southampton. The day will include a guided ship visit of Oceania Marina and business sessions on board. A networking event will be held the evening before.
UK & Ireland Managing Director Andy Harmer said: “The range of initiatives announced today underlines our ambition to make 2026 our most impactful year yet for trade engagement. Whether via ship visits, specialist training, networking opportunities or flagship events, we’re continuing to invest in helping agents develop their expertise and unlock new sales opportunities across every cruise sector.”
