Luxury tour operator Audley Travel is preparing to make its high street debut with a number of UK retail stores as it marks its 30th anniversary.
The tailor-made specialist is actively recruiting Personal Travel Experts for locations in Chelmsford, Southampton, Bristol, London (Oxford Street and Sloane Square), Norwich, Edinburgh and Cardiff.
In job adverts, the operator said: “As Audley Travel celebrates 30 years of creating extraordinary journeys, we’re opening a brand-new chapter as we expand into UK retail stores.
“We’d love you to be part of this exciting journey, helping shape this milestone retail experience from the very beginning.”
The roles are being offered on both full-time and part-time bases, with a full-time salary of £29,000 plus commission for a 37-hour week, and part-time contracts starting from 22 hours per week on a pro-rata salary. Both include evening and weekend shifts.
Personal Travel Experts will focus on turning store footfall into bookings, with agents owning their pipeline, pace and sales performance, said Audley.
They’ll manage the full customer journey end-to-end, designing and selling holidays, building long-term relationships and delivering a luxury retail experience, while collaborating with specialists on more complex itineraries.
Until now, Audley has operated via phone and online consultations, as well as appointment-led meetings from its offices.
A spokesperson told Indulge: “Audley Travel is looking at options for its first retail presence in the UK. More details will be shared soon.”
The news follows the addition of Dominica and the British Virgin Islands to Audley’s Caribbean programme.
