Air Canada is introducing Signature Plus suites at the front of its new Boeing 787-10s, with seats that covert into two-metre beds.
The four suites each also include a quartzite-topped table and a companion guest seat, plus space for personal items, 4K OLED monitors with Bluetooth audio, and a higher dividing screen for privacy.
The suites in the centre of the aircraft also include a retractable sliding privacy panel, to create a social space for up to four people travelling together.
The airline is also introducing fully lie-flat seats in Signature Class on its new Airbus A321XLR single-aisle aircraft this summer, which will serve transatlantic routes as part of the carrier’s Glowing Hearted design standard.
The redesigned business-class cabin on the A321XLR will feature 14 lie-flat seats and 4K OLED in-flight entertainment 19-inch screens with Bluetooth audio. There will be 13-inch 4K OLED IFE screens in economy.
“This investment is about fundamentally redefining the experience of flying with AirCanada,” said Chief Operations Office Mark Nasr. “From the moment of stepping on board, we’re setting a new standard for how Canadians and the world connect with our brand.
“This investment in the care and comfort of our customers is a key element of our New Frontiers growth strategy to become one of the world’s leading airlines.”
