Cruise line AE Expeditions will host a series of breakfast webinars for its UK trade partners, exploring what it means to be a certified B Corp expedition operator.
Hosted by Sustainability Manager Sasha Buch, the sessions will provide insights into its sustainability framework, operational practices and ‘long-term commitment to responsible expedition travel’.
They will take place on 4 March and 18 March at 8am.
The webinars will examine the standards behind AE Expeditions’ B Corp certification, the ongoing accountability required to maintain it and how expedition travel can ‘create positive environmental and social impact’ in the remote regions AE explores.
“As a certified B Corp, AE Expeditions meets rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability,” it said.
“The company integrates sustainability across its operations — from ship design and technological innovation to Citizen Science programs that actively involve expeditioners in data collection that supports global research initiatives.”
Sasha said the webinar series is designed to ‘open up conversation around what responsible expedition travel looks like in practice’.
“B Corp certification is about accountability and continuous improvement — it challenges us to measure our impact and keep raising the bar,” said Sasha.
“These sessions are an opportunity to share how responsible travel is embedded into our day-to-day operations, from the way we design our voyages to how expeditioners can actively contribute through Citizen Science and responsible travel practices.”
The breakfast sessions will provide an open forum for discussion, offering trade partners practical insight into how sustainability can support client conversations, and an understanding of how their voyage choices contribute to a broader purpose, added AE Expeditions.
